In this role, you will work side-by-side with other Finicity engineers to solve technical challenges that stem from scaling services with huge data and throughput, building critical features for our developer partners. Strong candidates will have development and operational experience at large scale, and bring both deep technical understanding and sound judgment to the role.
Linux Systems Administrator - Linux / Ubuntu / Open Source / CentOS / VMware / LAMP / BASH / LEMP / Load balancers
Technically looking for Linux Systems Administrator to have the following skills,
What You Need for this Position:
Linux administration in a demanding environment.
Monitoring system performance,resources and implements performance tuning.
Experience with Apache, Nginx, Jboss, SQL & SNMP monitoring.
An understanding of core Internet protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP etc)
Must be well versed in Network structures, routers, switches, firewalls.
Extensive knowledge of a wide variety of systems and networks to include high volume/high availability systems.
A strong understanding of VMware,virtualisation, load balancers as well as iSCSI & storage.
Experience with Bash shell scripting (or similar).
Technical writing skills for documenting environments and procedures.
What You Will Be Doing:
Must be available for 7x24 support in the event of scheduled and unscheduled downtime.
Ensure availability of web, database, and application servers.
Create build specifications based on application requirements while maximizing security, reliability and performance.
Systems performance tuning, monitoring and alerting.
Learn about new technologies, hardware and software products and relate to how the new services would benefit the enterprise.
Analyzing, designing, and implementing server systems upgrades and expansions accurately without adversely affecting systems availability.
